Three Days in the Life of a Man

Minister: Rev. Stephen Akinola
Topic: Three Days in the Life of a Man
Text: Psalm 90:12; Isaiah 40:6

There are three (3) days in the life of a man. The first day is YESTERDAY – with all of its challenges, achievements, failures, oppositions, etc.; the second day is TODAY – which is not a long time because we don’t have the day in our hands; the third day is TOMORROW – we don’t know what it holds.

Yesterday is gone with all it came with. Today (just this moment) is the only time we have, and can boast of; as nobody knows what tomorrow will come with.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom“ (Ps. 90:12).

Our days are numbered, and He who knows the number is speaking to us today. God is making the CALL OF SALVATION to us today. If we fail to heed the call, our tomorrow will be one of torment.

No matter the quantity of material things we possess today (cars, houses, money, etc.), it will all be gone one day. Death makes all human efforts useless. Nobody knows when death will come, and how it will come.

“. . . All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass” (Isa. 40:6,7).

Today is the only time we have. We must make good use of it and go to God in REPENTANCE. We must amend our ways with God today, if we are to secure our future.

Yesterday is gone! Tomorrow is unknown! Today is the day of SALVATION!
